Some of you may have read between the lines of certain of my blog posts and be aware that I have been engaged in quite a ‘significant’ relationship this last year (or maybe I even shared that overtly before I simply can’t remember – linear memory not my forte!)
Regardless, it is by far the most significant thing that has ever happened to me, in fact were it not for this relationship, The Sovereign’s Way would not exist… so it’s high time I was a bit more open about this or at least about what I have learnt of how such relationships are the perfect crucible for driving us toward a complete sovereign state.
Who knows, maybe there’s even a handful of the so-called ‘twin-flame’ community in my mailing list – ya never know! Please pop up and say hi if so. My divine counterpart and I quit using that term very soon after we first connected, because of the heavy load and attachments that come with it, instead we call it soul union (or something different every time!)… to break the spell!
I share a little about our personal story…
But for now I really wanted to talk about some of the relational traps that so many people are stuck in.
I’ve been feeling for a while now the build toward an article on this subject… for most every person in most every corner of the globe, there is more pain being experienced as a result of their core relationships than from the rest of their lives put together, And this is only enhanced with the awakening/consciousness movement and the highly-charged twin-flame community. So what is really going on?
Well, really, if we’re going to be honest with ourselves, the thing our hearts call us toward more than anything else, is a perfect relationship (however that looks/feels to each of us) with a significant other. We may even have become so shut down to our sexuality that we’ve completely fooled ourselves into believing that we’re alright on our own, or some other equivalent malaise. For those of us who haven’t though, this ‘relationship’ is gonna solve everything right? It’s gonna take away all the pain.
Well actually, yeah… right! But just not in the way we think… or hope… and certainly not before it dis-solves everything, nor before it triggers all the pain in preparation for it!
Maybe we currently find ourselves in a deeply karmic relationship – the purpose to work out a given soul contract and move on…
Or maybe we find ourselves engaged with a true soul partner – any ‘difficulties’ we experience existing simply to purge old templates as the magnet draws us in…
Or maybe any number of other possible scenarios…
The point is it doesn’t matter – the key to our own soul growth is being truthful and honest with ourselves in relationship – both about who and what we are, and who and what the other is to us. The key to our soul growth is to say ‘yes’ to whatever life is giving us right now because, even though we may not like it, we either need to have faith, or accept it as self-evident, that EVERYTHING is happening is for our highest good. Which is what surrender really is without all the hi-falootin’ spiritual mumbo jumbo – the ability to relax and say ‘yes’.
All this said, one’s divine counterpart IS their most perfect healing partner. Why is this so? Because the key to self-mastery is self-love, and the easiest path to COMPLETE self-love is to merge with another so that the purest love you hold for another, becomes the purest love for yourself! so why not open to that experience?
If you’re in a karmic relationship, even if you wonder if he/she might be your divine counterpart, why not try something new? Why not align yourself with the frequency of soul union WITHOUT any attachment to who it may be? If you really are with your true counterpart, it would be pretty cool to step into your true potential, right? And if not, wouldn’t it be nice to know now, rather than 20 years of suffering later?
It is the natural state for a man and woman to be in union – the soul is wired that way. The natural condition of the soul is union with itself; union within. A sacred marriage of masculine and feminine within, yes, but whilst we are incarnate in these forms, although we may have both masculine and feminine attributes as either man or woman, one simply cannot escape the fact that we are a man OR a woman… not both. In order to fulfill our human potential whilst physically incarnate in a dualistic creation we’re gonna need such a sacred union – a long way we can go it alone certainly, but receive the ultimate gift that life has offered us, we will not.
All of this I say to bring hope not despair – this is the simplest and most obvious marker we can use to ensure that we never again fall into the evolutionary trap of believing we are further along than we actually are! What a gift! And once we do get real with ourselves with where we ACTUALLY are, everything begins to align around us to move us forward – this is probably the most important piece of advice anyone ever gave me on this path – get real with where you’re at.
So if you ever felt drawn to a truly sacred relationship with a significant other, and are either disenfranchised with failed efforts or have otherwise given up on it ever happening to you, it’s time to get real with where you’re at then resurrect your fantasies – our capacity to fantasize is where the magic happens. And if you could see the truth, you’d know there’s nothing fantastical about it – align with the truth that such a union is not only within your grasp, but a hair’s breadth from your reality in any given moment, by owning/accepting your current state… in every way… fully!
So with this article I really have a couple of different intentions – I want to inspire you to love if you haven’t already become it (both within and without), and I want to know who else out there is already walking the path to soul union? Who else has already made it back home? Who is with their divine counterpart but suffering the terror and grief that accompanies the so-called ‘separation-phase’? Who gave it a go but simply couldn’t be together? Who has never met physically but has dream/sleep-state experiences with a significant other they’ve never met? Who has felt this relational draw but has no idea what it is or what to do with it? I would REALLY like to hear about your experiences.
Or if you’re in way too much love-pain (or love-sickness! or love-confusion!) to engage in lovey pleasantries and need some support with navigating those experiences, I’m making myself available for this for WAY less than I do to people for any other purpose!
To Love… real, pure, soul-melting, nothing-could possibly-exist-beyond-this-divine-perfection kinda love!
