Is it worthwhile to attain a land patent once I am versed in bringing forward my claims of ownership? or is it redundant? I have been searching for real estate lawyers to ask and am finding no one wants to talk to me. But rural neighbours around me here in northern Ontario do have signs to keep gov off their land. Do I start by simply putting up the signs? Thank You

I’ve been looking into this issue as well via Ron Gibson’s work (author of Land Patents guide to obtaining a Land Patent). The general idea as I understand it is to, “perfect title” to our land. I’m curious IF having the actual Land Patent paper issued in our name IS needed. OR do we simply notice and act in accord with private ownership; including NOT paying property tax??? ALSO, would going to all the trouble to obtain a Land Patent be a demonstration on our parts that we are doing our due diligence to remove all controversy, AND noticing the public at large simultaneously??? Thanks!
Would like to know more about this topic too as wish to state claim to the property of i, which is burden free
