If I don’t register my newborn baby in the UK are there ways to avoid the short-term fine of £200 and not to be prosecuted and result in long-term impacts on his ability to participate in the future (i.e. no birth certificate therefore no ID for employers requirements)? Is registering without providing a name a legitimate alternative to prevent the fine and still technically have the possibility of participation?
