Can we really stop paying taxes, such as Council tax, and claim back monies paid over the years? What about such services like rubbish/recycling waste collection? For some services that we use, we should pay for.

not paying for services I appreciate and use like electricity …turbines cost money and manning the manufacturing of the products cost money…so have no issue with paying for what I use…what is your position and reasoning on this?
I agree that one should pay for the services they use, but it’s not an a-la-carte system where you can choose which services you want to use. So if one were to figure out a way out of the system, would the fire station still send a fire truck if your house were to burn down? How would they know who’s in and who’s not? Would they send a bill afterwards to those who have opted out?
