Do we need to be a secured party creditor and understand UCC in order to cancel debt?

I want to become as unreliant and unbonded to the system as possible. I am unclear about everything I've heard regarding the birth certificate and the trust set up in my name, and needing to do something about that and to understand UCC in order to actually cancel debts I have with corporations. Catherine Austin Fitts just spoke about how she used a common law right of offset to get rid of a $14,000 credit card debt to Chase because they in fact are part of the Fed which owes each American millions. Glad she could do it, but she said it took her attorney to write it all up in a way that made them respond by cancelling her debt.
