regards a court summons a friend got for end July.;is simply returning a court summons for non-payment of tv license by registered post, within 72hours, a sufficient rebuttal? He has a postal tracking receipt of return. Is it likely to be the end of the matter?

A friend of mine received a court summons to court for non payment of TV licence here in Ireland and returned it to sender within 72 hours about 3/4 weeks ago has not heard back from the lawyer representing the prosecutor An Post. It would mean alot to receive advice on how to deal with such situations and anything guidance on how to proceed if there is a follow up to his case please . Thank you in advance Jacqueline
