Regarding avoiding tyrannical rules, taxation, property protection, etc., Jon and Greg have referred to status changes and the like as not worth the time and effort. What is their opinion on obtaining the land patent to your land to become true steward of the land such that no governmental or other agency has any say over your land. (Whereas the warranty deed to your land that most of us have does not protect your land.) It is also my understanding that when you obtain a land patent you are off the tax docket so not subject to property taxes. Do Jon and Greg have any opinion regarding obtaining a land patent to protect your land with the added benefit of avoiding taxation that may not be in line with what you support (ie local school policies masking children, etc)?

As a ‘sole trader’, I now wish to move into the private as a woman offering virtual office services. So, I have to end my contract with HMRC first, cease sending invoices and instead send bills for compensation to a man (instead of company) who utilises my services. However, these bills will then go to an ‘accountant’ who will process via HMRC and they won’t be able to class as an expense. My question is, can a public/business and private/wo/man operate harmoniously together as this is new territory for most local businesses? If yes, how does that look? Can you offer an example? If no, is this because you can’t mix the two? Thank you!

If it doesn’t matter what the legal codes, acts or statutes have to say in the L of M, Can I notice and press claim with sister if she continues not to make remedy? Dad’s mutual fund of 300k intended to be shared amongst his children after death was TOD’s (transferred on death) to eldest sister who took care of his financials and paid his bills the last few years of his life. Her name was on all of his accounts to distribute properly. She is withholding the money in this fund and keeping for herself since her name is on it legally. We have made attempts for her to make remedy and understand it was dad’s intention to be shared amongst all of his 3 children and not just one. It is not included in the will and trust. thank you.
